In Grange Park, Installation Artist Adrian Blackwell who graced the front covers of both this week’s alternative papers, Eye and Now, created a spiral model for a public space.
Dubbed ‘Speaker‘, it was an immediate hit with everyone who dared the few steps off the ashphalt path of Grange Park, as the Open Mic was passed from person to person in a wonderful display of trust and adhocracy.
‘Speaker’ can no longer simply be considered a model for a public space. It is indeed a model for civic engagement which all the residents and citizens of the city Toronto deserve.
